THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Terutam® (Levetiracetam) is indicated as a monotherapy for the treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in patients over 16 years of age with a new diagnostic of epilepsy.

Terutam® (Levetiracetam) is indicated as a concomitant therapy:
In the treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults, children and babies from 1 year of age with epilepsy.
In the treatment of myoclonic seizures in adults and teenagers above 12 years of age with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy.
In the treatment of primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults and teenagers over 12 years of age with idiopathic generalized epilepsy.

DOSAGE
Monotherapy in adults and teenagers 16 years and older: initial, 250 mg/12 h, after 2 weeks increase to 500 mg/12 hr; increase according to response.
Concomitant therapy: adults and children 12 years and older: start 500 mg/12 h; increase according to response, 500 mg/12 h every 2-4 weeks up to a max. 1.500 mg/12 hr.
